Job description

Production Engineer

Job Location: Chandigarh

Experience: 5+ Years 

Current Responsibility & Qualities

1.                   AWS platform management.

2.                   Good understanding of Network, Infrastructure and Virtualization

3.                   Platform Changes and RCA handling for service issues

4.                   Strong Linux and Microsoft technology understanding and hands-on

Impact on Business

  • Local contact point for Infrastructure tasks and issue troubleshooting
  • The service quality related deliverables like Infrastructure and Platform RCAs and Platform Changes will be hugely impacted.
  • Coordinating service problems/disruption/degradation situations.
  • Driving service quality related changes based on findings done under root-cause analysis.
  • Additional contributing factor is that there are a few other experienced team members already about to leave.

Must have technical skill set required for the replacement

  • Database (SQL and No-SQL)

  • Linux and Windows Operating Systems

Job description for the replacement candidate

  • Has experience of coordinating and guides activities of the Problem Management Team with Internal and External stakeholders
  • Develops and improves Problem Control and Error Control procedures.
  • Have ownership for controlling and ensuring root cause analysis and preventive actions are implemented for Customer Notification and Product Notification
  • Conducts post mortem and drives root-cause analysis for continuous improvement of the service design.
  • MUST have relevant experience in Incident Management and ITIL
  • Escalates the analysis and resolution of cross-functional problems to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Provides management information and uses it proactively to prevent the occurrence of incidents and problems in both production and development environments
  • Ability to create Process SOPs, Control plan
  • Create and present appropriate quality measures for weekly and monthly reviews for management
  • Ability create quality dashboards on quality metric and ability to present to management team
  • Understands the services delivery model.
  • MUST have experience dealing with international clients/customers.
  • Ability to lead conference calls with global team on various quality issues
